Howard has been in the real estate business for over 40 years and has been a principle with CStar Management, LLC for 30 of those years. Howard attended Oklahoma State University where he was a member of the varsity wrestling team. Mr. Aufleger began his career in the construction business designing and building homes in 1980. After obtaining his series 11 license in the mid 80’s, Howard began working with investors to analyze real estate investment needs. Howard was past President and on the Board of Directors for Hospitality Services of America, a company focused on the development and management of Hotels and Multifamily communities utilizing mainly tax-exempt bonds and investor capital for financing. The formation of CStar has enabled Mr. Aufleger to provide great property management services for thousands of rental units for these individual investors and financial institutions alike.

Mr. Aufleger is a Real Estate Broker, the past president of the Stillwater Apartment Association, Treasurer for the Stillwater Industrial Foundation and on the Board of Directors for Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Oklahoma. 

Barrett graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2007 with a degree in finance. Throughout his college career, Barrett worked part-time for CStar as a leasing consultant, as well as a general maintenance technician. Barrett is a graduate of Leadership Stillwater Class 22, 2013. He currently oversees CStar’s facilities management/maintenance department, including OSU Greek living and outside contract jobs.

Pat began her career in property management with CStar in 2001, initially working as a Leasing Consultant while pursuing her degree in Graphics Design. Over the years, she has worked as a Property Manager for several communities before settling into her current role. The key player in our onboarding process, Pat ensures a smooth and successful transition of new communities and staff. With an eye for detail and desire to optimize systems and processes to maximize performance, Pat provides our team members with the support, tools, and resources they need to thrive.

Jeff graduated from Purdue University in 1996 with a degree in education following his time in the United States Army where he was a medic for the 2nd infantry division. Jeff began his career with CStar in 1997 as a maintenance technician and soon became a property manager. He currently manages commercial properties and oversees special construction projects as well as managing multiple technology and research buildings for Oklahoma State University.

A graduate from Oklahoma State University, Rachel received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s of Science in Accounting. She received her CPA license in 2017. Hired in March of 2017 as CStar’s Controller, Rachel is an expert in financial reporting and monitoring/managing general ledgers of all CStar client relations.

Robert Davies has worked at CStar Management for 25 years. He has over 40 years of experience in residential management and maintenance. After graduating from Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in 1983 with an associate degree in HVAC Technology, Robert began his career as an HVAC technician. He has his Mechanical Contractor License and has been the Maintenance Director for CStar Management in Oklahoma City since 1999.

Wendi was hired in 2004 by Bill Aufleger, Howard’s late father, as a bookkeeper for CStar Construction Services. Wendi transferred to CStar Management in 2006 where she continues to play a crucial role in CStar’s accounting department. Receivables, payables, and financial reporting for CStar Management services are her expertise. Wendi holds a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University in Agricultural Economics.

Jamie has more than 20 years of property manager experience, in California, Alaska, and Oklahoma. She received her CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) and has substantial experience in new construction, rehab, value add, HUD/REAC and military housing. Jamie is a native of Stillwater, OK and has been a part of CStar team since 2019.

Ernie Miller has been with CStar Management since 1995. Hired as a leasing agent for a large local property in Stillwater, CStar quickly promoted Ernie to Property Manager at Westbrook Apartments. Ernie holds an active real estate license and currently is our Asset Manager for over 600 units and oversight of the HOA at Stillwater Flats Condominiums. He is very involved annually in the Oklahoma Special Olympics, Remember the Ten Run, tailgate organization for OSU football season, the Orange Scholars program with Oklahoma State University and numerous other community events and programs.

Hired by Howard Aufleger in 1992 as a property manager for CStar’s first management contract, Shelbi has been employed with CStar Management for over 30 years. Shelbi has played a vital role in every aspect of the company, including site management, accounting, human resources, advertising, public/employee relations, and organizational management. Shelbi holds an active Oklahoma real estate license.

Having worked in property management for over 20 years, Christy was hired by CStar in 2004. She was nominated as Supervisor of the Year by the Apartment Association of Central Oklahoma in 2011. Christy has successfully completed seven hours of Advanced LIHTV Compliance Training and seven hours of RD and LIHTC compliance Training. As a graduate of CAM training program for management and maintenance, Christy continues to manage and supervise CStar’s Oklahoma City portfolio of communities. Beginning her early career as a leasing consultant, her expertise has grown as she has worked her way through the ranks in property management; serving CStar investors and customers with experience and professionalism.
